  17. If the DWCFGMG.SYS file is in the Win95 CONFIG.SYS then it should be loading, 
  18. however, it doesn't configure the modem when booting into Normal mode.  
  19. Depending on the system, the modem may be configured when booting into Dos 
  20. Mode or Command Prompt Only from the boot menu without the driver.  If not 
  21. then the driver should load and configure the modem.  The PnP installation 
  22. software isn't designed to work in a DOS 7.xx or Win95 environment, but 
  23. installing the PnP Utility disk after booting the system into Safe Mode, 
  24. Command Prompt Only seems to work best and with little problems.  Of course, 
  25. you want to install for DOS only.  Be aware that under these conditions the 
  26. modem could be installed to a conflicting configuration and manual adjustment 
  27. of the modem's IO Address and/or IRQ may be required.  The WinICU Diagnostic 
  28. disk has Intel's ICU software that once installed can be used to configure the 
  29. modem further.
