- If the DWCFGMG.SYS file is in the Win95 CONFIG.SYS then it should be loading,
- however, it doesn't configure the modem when booting into Normal mode.
- Depending on the system, the modem may be configured when booting into Dos
- Mode or Command Prompt Only from the boot menu without the driver. If not
- then the driver should load and configure the modem. The PnP installation
- software isn't designed to work in a DOS 7.xx or Win95 environment, but
- installing the PnP Utility disk after booting the system into Safe Mode,
- Command Prompt Only seems to work best and with little problems. Of course,
- you want to install for DOS only. Be aware that under these conditions the
- modem could be installed to a conflicting configuration and manual adjustment
- of the modem's IO Address and/or IRQ may be required. The WinICU Diagnostic
- disk has Intel's ICU software that once installed can be used to configure the
- modem further.
